As a guest at Eaglewood Resort & Spa, you'll feel like you're in your own little world. However, if you do get the urge to explore outside our resort, you are moments from shopping, dining and entertainment, and just a 35-minute drive to all of downtown Chicago's world-famous attractions. See the stupendous views from the Sears Tower, take in a Schaumburg Flyers baseball game, or indulge in a shopping spree.

Chicago Indoor Racing (2miles) – Chicago Indoor Racing is an 86,000 square foot facility featuring two professionally designed Indoor European Kart Racing Tracks. Drivers over the age of eighteen can race wheel to wheel in specially designed Bowman Racing Karts that are able to provide a real sense of the thrill and excitement

Itasca Water Park (2 miles) – Fun for kids of all ages, this water park features lap swimming, a spectacular waterslide, sand play area and more. Open seasonally May 28 - September 5. For further information call 773-2257 or inquire with our concierge.

Medieval Times (10 miles) – Experience the adventure of this one-of-a-kind dinner theater. The Schaumburg, Illinois Castle features 85,000 square feet of splendor and has 1,430 permanent seats inside the Grand Ceremonial Arena.

Dave and Buster's (1 mile) – This favorite attraction is more than a restaurant with all-American food and a terrific bar. It's the ultimate place to play your favorite arcade and carnival-style games, or relax with a game of billiards or darts.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center  (7 miles) – Journey through a medieval castle on the Dragon ride and pedal to the skies on the Technicycle ride, fell a part of the story in the 4D cinema, see iconic Chicago landmarks in MINILAND, and much more…it's the ultimate place for all LEGO fans – young and old!

Lynfred Winery (4 miles) – The oldest and largest continuously operating, bonded winery in the state of Illinois, producing over 50 varietals and 25,000 cases per year. Features a tasting room and gift shop.

Historic Long Grove (20 miles) – This quaint little village retains all the character of its original farming community roots, with historic buildings, cobblestone walks and flowering gardens, set in a secluded rural atmosphere. It offers an exciting mix of attractions and eclectic, artsy shops and eateries.

Grand Victoria Casino (15 miles) – Enjoy Las Vegas-style gaming, live shows and great cuisine aboard the Best Riverboat Casino in the United States as rated by Casino Player Magazine. Just 30 minutes from Eaglewood Resort & Spa.

Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor (42 miles) – Experience the thrill of pulse-pounding roller coasters and the best water park in the nation to gentler options for tinier tots. Open late May to early September. Just 60 minutes from Eaglewood Resort & Spa.

Arlington Park (12 miles) – This Internaional Thoroughbred race course is located 15 minutes North of Eaglewood Resort & Spa is open May 10th - September 26th 2011

 Wrigley Field (22 miles) - Known for its ivy-covered brick outfield wall, this famously historic stadium located just north of downtown Chicago has been the home ballpark for Major League Baseball's Chicago Cubs since 1916.

US Cellular Field (28 miles) - Formerly Comiskey Park, this ballpark has been home to Major League Baseball's Chicago White Sox – winners of the 2005 World Series – since 1991.

Soldier Field (29 miles) - Constructed in the early 1920s as a memorial to American soldiers who died in wars, this stadium is located on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago and has been home to the NFL's Chicago Bears since 1971.

The United Center (23 miles) – Famous for a statue of Michael Jordan located on the east side of the arena, The United Center is home to both the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association and the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League, winners of the 2010 Stanley Cup.

Navy Pier and IMAX Theatre – Historic Navy Pier is Chicago's lakefront playground and the Midwest's #1 tourist and leisure destination, attracting more than 8.6 million visitors a year. From rides to restaurants, exhibitions to entertainment, shopping to dining cruises and tour boats, Navy Pier has it all!

Willis Tower Skydeck - At 1,353 feet, the Skydeck is the highest observatory in Chicago, giving you the best view and best overview of this remarkable city. On a clear day, you can see 40 to 50 miles, and there's no finer view of Chicago architecture.

Hancock Building Observatory (94th floor) – This 100-story, 1,127-foot tall skyscraper is currently the fourth-tallest building in Chicago and the sixth tallest in the U.S. The observatory has Chicago's only open-air SkyWalk and also features a free multimedia tour in six languages.

Art Institute of Chicago – Founded in 1879 as both a museum and school, the Art Institute has one of the world's most notable collections of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art in its permanent collection.

The Field Museum of Natural History – Located on Lake Shore Drive next to Lake Michigan, this museum's collections contain over 21 million specimens, including Sue, the most complete and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil currently known.

Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum – The first planetarium built in the Western Hemisphere and the oldest in existence today, Adler features three theaters and numerous exhibitions for an unforgettable space science experience.

Shedd Aquarium – This aquarium contains over 25,000 fish and was for some time the largest indoor aquarium in the world with 5 million gallons of water. Its 1,500 species include fish, marine mammals, birds, snakes, amphibians, and insects.

Stratford Square Mall (5 miles) – Just 10 minutes from Eaglewood Resort & Spa, this mall features shopping at Carson Pirie Scott, JCPenney, Kohl's, Macy's, Sears, and Burlington Coat Factory. There are also several dining options, glow-in-the-dark mini golf and a movie theater.
